The Sorcerer is a character class in Dungeons & Dragons. It is an arcane spellcaster whose magic comes from innate power, rather than bookish study as with the wizard. The sorcerer class first appeared in the D&D third edition Player's Handbook. In this edition, the sorcerer shares its spell list with the wizard class, as well as most of its class features.
