In The Mandalorian episode titled "Chapter 8: Redemption", the bounty hunter Din Djarin was injured by Gideon, and later nursed back to health by the hunter droid IG-11, who had recently rescued the Child. IG-11 then elected to sacrifice himself by walking into an ambush of Imperial forces and activating his self-destruct, which would allow The Mandalorian and The Child to escape to safety.
