There are a couple of moments in Top Gun when Maverick used the quote that appears on this t-shirt. At the beginning of the movie, during an interception with two hostile MiG-28 aircrafts, Maverick said "Talk to me, Goose". Maverick said the quote again later in the movie when his F-14A Tomcat flew through Iceman's jet wash, just before Goose tried to eject, hit his head on the aircraft and was killed.
